Dr. Chris Truong
Dr. Chris Truong graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry Class of 2000. Shortly after graduation, he became a professor at the College and taught first year restorative dentistry and third year clinical dentistry. He developed a passion for cosmetic dentistry and joined the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The Academy is dedicated to advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and encouraging the highest standards of ethics and responsibility among its members.
Dr. Truong enjoys all aspects of family dental care and has also developed a keen interest in jaw joint therapy or TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder). The sophisticated field of dentistry deals with the complex relationship between the jaw joint and the occlusion (your bite). Dr. Truong has been trained in the Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
When not practicing dentistry or studying new technology, Dr. Truong is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Vietnamese Baptist Theological Institute helping to train pastors for the ministry and traveling extensively in the service of his community. Through his church, Dr. Truong teaches young adult Sunday school class of apologetics and systematic theology. Dr. Truong also travels every year to third world countries as part of a team of doctors providing treatment to those in need.
For fun, Dr. Truong enjoys volleyball, bowling, ping pong and martial arts.

Dr. Chau Truong
Dr. Chau Truong graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1999. Married to Dr. Chris Truong since March 2000, they are a proud parents of 2 young boys, 12 months apart. Dr. Chau practices part-time at Great Southwest Family Dental. She is a talented musician and plays the piano at her church.
Adaia Esquivel (Office Manager\ Patient Care Coordinator)
Adaia brings an orderly caring touch to our team. From your first meeting with us, Adaia sits down and carefully listens to your concerns and needs. She is very thorough in answering any questions you might have about your health and our office services. Adaia is also a Licensed Dental Assistant, therefore she has extensive clinical knowledge to help you understand each procedure step-by-step. Adaia is also certified in Bioresearch Technology, Tomographic X-Rays for TMD, and is a licensed assistant in TMJ\TMD.
Adaia is an outgoing person that loves the interaction with all patients; her goal is to make every patient that comes to our office comfortable and at ease. Adaia is bilingual, speaking Spanish and English fluently. Each day she looks forward to bringing a smile to someone’s face. Adaia enjoys taking part in her church activities, volunteering and helping children in need; she loves spending time with her friends and family.
Alberto Barajas (Clinical Assistant)
Albert is the newest member of our team, in patient care. He is a former Dentist in Mexico, but wants to start a new life with his family here in the United States. Albert enjoys learning new technology offered in our office and is always eager to offer his help in providing the optimum care for our patients. Albert is also certified in Bioresearch Technology.
Albert’s pleasant attitude puts our patients at ease in preparation of treatment with Dr. Truong. In his spare time, Albert enjoys fishing and jogging.
Heidi Tran (Dental Hygienist)
Heidi is our part-time hygienist who graduated from Baylor in 1994. She is married and has three children. When she is not working, she devotes her time volunteering at her children’s school. Heidi has a gentle touch and can also speak Vietnamese.
Juanita Santos (Dental Hygienist)
Juanita is our full-time hygienist. She helps with the coordination of our hygiene program to ensure the optimum care of our patients and their healthy smile.
Juanita graduated from Baylor in 2003. She enjoys jogging and playing with her two dogs, Murray and Mona. Juanita is very friendly and cheerful. She loves to work with children, and going on foreign mission trips.
Leyla Monge (Clinical Assistant)
Leyla joined our practice with 5 years experience in cosmetic dentistry in California. She continues to attend education courses to give our patients the optimum dental care they need. Leyla is very fluent in both English and Spanish. Her clinical education skills are superb in informing our patients concerning their oral health. Leyla is certified in Bioresearch Technology and Tomographic X-Rays for diagnosing and treating TMJ\TMD patients.
Since Leyla has a family of her own, she understands how important it is to treat and care for each individual in a unique way. She enjoys working with her dental team which strives for excellence. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies and camping with her husband and kids.
Melanie Kunze (Office Administration)
Melanie is talented in both office administration and clinical assistance. Due to her unique knowledge, she helps patients understand treatment procedures from the first consult with new patients to answering any concerns accurately over the phone with our current patients. Melanie works hard to ensure that all of our patients have flexible financial options to get the best dentistry they deserve. Melanie is also certified in Bioresearch Technology.
Melanie enjoys traveling and being with her family and friends. She prides herself in being a new mother of a precious baby girl.
Nam Ta (Office Administration Support)
Nam is our part-time office staff member who is talented in computer technology. She helps with the technical aspect of our practice and organizes our treatment procedures. Our patients and staff can always count on Nam to bring “sunshine” to our practice and keeps everyone smiling throughout the day. Her pleasant attitude and kind words win the hearts of all our patients.
Nam is a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington studying Biology. In her spare time, Nam enjoys spending her time with friends and family.
Nhu Dao (Clinical Assistant)
Nhu adds a dimension of tenderness and kindness to our team in caring for our patients. She is soft spoken yet thorough in meeting the concerns of our patients. She loves to sing and is an active member in her church. Nhu is certified in Bioresearch Technology used to measure and gather data for diagnosing TMJ\TMD including Joint Vibration Analysis, Electromyography, and Jaw Tracking (Electrognathography).
